Smoothie bowls are a delicious (and beautiful!) way to get an antioxidant-packed breakfast or snack. The best part is you can use your favorite fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds you already have on hand.

Servings: 2-3

Ingredients:

Bowl:

  • 2 cups frozen mixed berries

  • 1 large, ripe frozen banana

  • 2 handfuls leafy greens, such as spinach, arugula, mint, parsley

  • 1/3 cup milk of your choice

  • Optional: 2 scoops vanilla protein powder

Toppings:

  • Nuts: walnuts, pecans, cashews, etc

  • Seeds: chia, flax, hemp, pumpkin, sunflower, etc

  • Dried fruit: mango, goji berries, cranberries, raisins, coconut flake, etc

  • Fresh fruit: berries, kiwi ,mango, banana, pineapple, etc

Directions:

  1. Add berries, banana, leafy greens and milk to a high powered blender set to low speed. Scrape down sides as necessary.

  2. Blend until it is the consistency of soft serve ice cream.

  3. Optional: Add protein powder and blend on low until combined.

  4. Divide into bowls and "decorate" with toppings.

Enjoy!
