Water is the best choice to rehydrate if you are physically active for less than 60 minutes. If you are exercising vigorously for more than 60 minutes you will need to replace fluid plus electrolytes and carbohydrates. Mix up your own sports drink to avoid those nasty artificial colours and additives in the popular commercial ‘ades’ . You will save some money too! 

 

Ingredients:

2 cups water

2 cups orange juice

¼ tsp salt 

 

Method:

1. Mix all ingredients.

2. Pour into your sports water bottle

3. Quench your thirst!
