No they won’t turn you into a body builder, but the protein will help keep your belly grumbles at bay.

 

Ingredients

2 Cups Rolled Oats

2 Cups Natural Peanut Butter (No Salt/No Sugar added)

2 Cups Protein Powder

1 Cup Natural Honey

½ Cup Flax Seed

 

Preparation

1.   Combine protein powder, oats and flax seeds. Heat the peanut butter and honey in the microwave until smooth.

  • Combine honey and peanut butter with the dry mix. Mix together until a thick paste forms.

  • Press firmly and evenly down into two 9x9 pans

  • Place in fridge for 30 minutes until firm then cut into bars

 

Cooks Tip

Using natural peanut butter (which is often refrigerated) try warming the peanut butter in the microwave for about 30 seconds to soften it up. Same with the honey! Store in fridge or in freezer. The freezer is a great way to give them an added crunch!
